To say our wedding day was perfect is a huge understatement. The venue has been courteous, helpful, informative, and above all with the pandemic they were upfront and always eager to problem solve in a way that worked with CDC guidelines and our wishes. The venue was not only pristine but also updated and beautiful. We were able to have options on where we wanted our ceremony to take place and have a backup plan for rain. We worked with Michaela throughout the majority of our planning and as our date became closer we also worked with Melodie. Michaela has obviously been through this process many times before as she is organized, professional, supportive, and especially kind. Both women treated us like their top priority in every conversation, email, meeting, and even video chat when the physical meeting wasn’t timely. When we arrived at the hotel to the minute we left, the amenities and care every single staff member took with our family was beyond what we expected. Not one individual had any issues and every aspect of the day was carefully thought out and planned. We were offered every accommodation we could have dreamed of and more. We have run into complications with the university and our postponed reception date however with the help of the Michaela and Melodie even this situation has been stress free so far.
The venue was absolutely beautiful and the people there are so helpful. The events coordinator was a God send for me. She was with me every step of the way.
The Blackwell is an absolute dream to work with. The hotel accommodations are flawless, the food is excellent, and the staff is wonderful!! Our Buckeye Wedding went off without a hitch! I cannot express enough how thrilled I am that we went with The Blackwell for our wedding. Our contact was Allison Saulino and she was super professional, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the entire planning process. She had helpful hints that worked with couples in the past and she was very hands on the day of our wedding. She kept checking in on myself and the groom to see if we needed anything, making sure our food came out on time, making sure that each member of the wedding party knew when and where they had to be. I cannot stress enough that our day would not have been as perfect as it was without Allison and the Blackwell! Highly recommended!!!
From the moment we started working with Allison at The Blackwell, we knew that she would make sure our day was magical. We were engaged for 1.5 years, and Allison was always available to answer questions and find solutions (even for problems outside of her scope). Our cocktail hour and reception at The Blackwell was perfect and it's truly because of the staff. Not only did they treat my husband and I like royalty, but they catered to each and every guest. We have received so many phone calls from guests saying how special they felt because of the way The Blackwell staff handled everything. I would also be remiss if I did not mention the Chef...he hand crafted our appetizers and meal based on our love story. And the food was UNBELIEVABLE! We truly cannot recommend The Blackwell enough for your special day - we promise you won't regret it!
